13.0 Fuel Card

A Fuel Card/s is supplied to all employees who package a motor vehicle, regardless of the type of leasing arrangements involved. The fuel card must be used when purchasing fuel for the packaged vehicle wherever possible.

Fleetcard (issued by CustomFleet) is generic and may be accepted by a range of fuel outlets. Other cards such as a Shell or BP cards are specific to those particular fuel outlets. If a service station does not accept the card, employees will have to pay for the fuel and/or oil and then claim reimbursement from their package.

Employees must provide the original tax invoices and receipts to the Salary Packaging Office to claim reimbursement. A credit card slip is not a tax invoice.

Fuel cards will be sent to the employee. It usually takes about ten days after the delivery of the vehicle. The reason for the delay is that the card must have the vehicle registration number imprinted on it and the vehicle is only registered the day before delivery.

FUEL CARDS CAN ONLY BE USED FOR THE PURCHASE OF FUEL, OIL AND CAR WASHES THAT RELATE TO THE PACKAGED VEHICLE.
